Born in Toronto, Canada, Catherine McClung now makes her home and studio in West Michigan. The are‚ woods, waters and meadows are the necessary inspiration for photography and painting. This self-taught artist‚ college years did not include a single art class. However, to nature lovers and to china lovers, Catherine McClung's name is a household word. She has painted a wide array of designs for the Lenox China, Inc. During the holiday season thousands of china collectors and bird lovers will be displaying and dining on dinnerware decorated with patterns made famous by this Spring Lake artist.

She specializes in watercolor paintings of birds in their natural habitat, against a soft impressionistic background, emphasize the delicate balance of nature. The vibrant colors of flowers and songbirds emerge from her paintings, creating a blend of design and information. More than 80 of Catherine's paintings have been released as signed and numbered limited edition prints. In addition, Catherine was commissioned by the Department of Natural Resources for her artwork, represented Michigan with an ornament for the White House Christmas tree and was featured on HGTV's‚ White House Artisans. Catherine also illustrated a children's book entitled The Far-Flung Adventures of Homer the Hummer.

The 2007 poster is available as a limited edition giclee canvas print. Giclee is well known in the art world and takes reproduction of an artist's painting to a new level. Each limited edition giclee of "Splendor" comes signed by the artist and includes a certificate of authenticity. Read more
