Annual Tulip Time Festival Dutch Dance Style Show

HOLLAND, MI – January 8, 2008 –Tulip Time Festival (www.tuliptime.com) announces the annual Tulip Time Dutch Dance Style Show to be held at 7pm on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Evergreen Commons, 480 State Street in Holland. Snow date will be Thursday, January 24, 2008.

The style show will be the first opportunity for new Dutch Dancers to consider their costumes for the upcoming Tulip Time Festival.

The program, moderated by Dutch Dance Program Director, Judy Tuinenga, will feature historical aspects of each costume, options for dancers, as well as details and guidelines about the Dutch Dance program in general. Area dancers will be modeling the 16 available costumes, representing 7 provinces. Dutch Dance Directors as well as Costume Directors will also be introduced and available to meet with dancers to discuss program details and answer questions questions.

Alumni and new Community dancers, Festival Guides, Trolley Hosts, Information Booth Volunteers and anyone interested in volunteering for Festival activities, are invited and encouraged to attend to obtain information and/or select new costumes for Tulip Time 2008. There is no charge for the show and the public is welcome.

As a preview to the Style Show, Tuesday, January 8, 2007, at 6pm, Tulip Time Festival Costume Directors will make their annual pilgrimage to Field’s Fabrics, 281 East 8th Street, Holland to review and select new fabrics for use by the 1,100 Klompen Dancers that will participate in the festival.
