Helpful Hints

TIME - In order to be on time for our parades and shows, please note that Holland is on Eastern Daylight Savings Time.

TRAFFIC PATTERNS - Tune your dial to CB/Channel 9 or 530 AM for information about local traffic patterns. For both entering and touring the area, it is recommended to use 16th, 24th or 32nd Streets rather than 8th Street. Use Pine or Van Raalte Avenues to exit town.

AIRPORT - The nearest major airport is Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids (GRR), approximately 40 minutes away. Several car rental companies are located within the terminal. www.grr.org.

TULIPS - A lot of time goes into the planting and beautification of our tulips. We ask that you enjoy them and take a lot of photos but please do not pick them.

TRANSPORTATION - It is suggested to have your own means of transportation as our festival is held throughout the city. Otherwise, the City of Holland does offer a convenient and affordable local bus service. To view their schedule please visit - www.catchamax.org.

PARADE BLANKET/CHAIR POLICY - Volksparade and Kinderparade items cannot be set up earlier than 6am the morning of the parade. Muziekparade items cannot be set up earlier than 9pm on Friday evening. Items may be placed between the street and sidewalk only. All items must be removed no later than 1 hour after each parade.

TICKETS - We recommend ordering show tickets in advance. During the festival ticket availability varies. An additional $1 per ticket service fee will be charged for all orders or a $2 per ticket sevice fee for online orders. Tickets and service fees are non-refundable.

GROUPS - Groups of 20 or more guests qualify for special rates (see page 10) and two (2) complimentary tickets per show/parade for the driver and tour escort. Discounts are not available when ordering online. Service fees do not apply to group orders. Full payment is needed at the time an order is placed. Group orders may be refunded until April 1, 2010, less 5%. Orders will be mailed after April 1, 2010. For group information contact Sara VanderZee, Group Sales Coordinator, at 800.822.2770 x107.

FESTIVAL DATES - May 1-8, 2010. May 7-14, 2011.
