Tulip Time Accepting Applications for Art & Craft Fair and Parades

HOLLAND, MI – January 10, 2008 -Tulip Time Festival (www.tuliptime.com) is accepting Exhibitor applications for the 8th annual Tulip Time Festival Art and Craft Fair located at Centennial Park.  This event takes place in May during the 79th annual Tulip Time Festival. Approximately 130 fine art and original craft exhibitors will display and sell their wares to local residents and festival guests. Art & Craft Fair hours will be Saturday, May 3, 9am – 5pm and Sunday, May 4, 11am-5pm, 2008.

To apply for the 2008 Art & Craft Fair go to http://www.tuliptime.com/page/applications. Entry applications must be received by March 3, 2008. Artist and craftsperson selection will then take place with response being mailed out the week of March 17, 2008. All artwork must be the original work of the artist. Absolutely no imported mass produced items will be allowed.

The Art & Craft Fair for Tulip Time 2008 will be held in Centennial Park, centrally located in downtown Holland, Michigan. Dating back to the turn of the century, this park was Holland's original market square. It features historic plantings, a fishpond, a fountain, winding cobblestone pathways, and over 18,000 tulips. This popular gathering place is a central hub for the week long festival. Home to numerous Dutch Dancing performances and Tulip Time Trolley Tours.  Most importantly, this new location will be easy and convenient for guests and vendors plus, allow for FREE guest admission.

Parade applications are also available for the Volksparade, Kinderparade and Muziekparade to be held Wednesday, May 7, Thursday, May 8, and Saturday, May 10, 2008 respectively. Totaling more than 100,000 spectators these three parades are a great way to reach members of the community and visitors from all over the country.  

The Kinderparade will be accepting float applications from children-related organizations.  There are only 6 spaces available for these floats, which must follow a Dutch theme.

Applications are also available for pick-up at the Tulip Time office, located at 238 S. River Ave, Holland, Michigan 49423. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 9am-3pm and Friday, 9am-1pm.
