TULIP TIME ANNOUNCES BRUCE HORNSBY TICKET SALES AND BOXSET!
HOLLAND, MI - February 5, 2007 - Tulip Time Festival (www.tuliptime.com) is proud to announce the arrival of Bruce Hornsby and his solo piano tour, performing Saturday, May 5th, 2007 at Central Wesleyan Auditorium, Holland Michigan. The performance begins at 8pm. Platinum seating is $49.50 and general reserved seating is $35.50. Tickets are subject to a handling fee and/or customer convenience charge. Tickets go on sale February 9, 2007 at 10am. Three-time Grammy winner Bruce Hornsby has been admired by his peers for more than two decades as a skillful pianist, singer-songwriter, band leader and collaborator and for his long-standing commitments to civil rights in this country and human rights around the world. He has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide and has one of the most loyal fan bases in popular music. Hornsby's debut album The Way It Is struck RIAA gold and triple platinum and included 20 Top hits. His collections of songs include "The Way It Is", "Mandolin Rain", "The Valley Road", "Jacob's Ladder" and many more. This intimate solo piano tour demonstrates Hornsby's ability to tap in to the heart and soul of his music. Playing some of his classic favorites Hornsby also entertains requests at his show.
One of pop music's most in-demand "side" men, Bruce Hornsby has released 9 albums and played on more than 100 records with artists ranging from Bob Dylan, Don Henley, and the Grateful Dead to Bob Seger, Bonnie Raitt, BÔøΩla Fleck, and Willie Nelson, among many others. His songs have been performed and/or recorded by a variety of artists including Willie Nelson, Don Henley, Tupac Shakur, Bob Dylan, Chaka Khan, Robbie Robertson, Huey Lewis, Sara Evans, and Leon Russell. Bruce Hornsby became a part-time member of the Grateful Dead and, from September 1990 to March 1992, performed with the group on more than 100 concerts in America and Europe.
