Step Back in Time Aboard Friends Good Will
Experience life in 1810 as you board Friends Good Will, a replica topsail sloop. The original vessel sailed the Great Lakes as a merchant ship before being captured by the British during the War of 1812. Visitors will discover the fascinating history of the fur trade and commerce on the Great Lakes during the ship’s active years, as well as its significant role in the War of 1812.
Dockside Details and Access
Costumed crewmembers from the Michigan Maritime Museum will provide engaging dockside tours of this historic tall ship during its visit to Holland. Friends Good Will is moored on the north wall dock at Boatwerks restaurant for the festival. Entrance is located on the dock on the east side of the restaurant.
