Magic at the Mill at Windmill Island Gardens

Experience the holiday magic at Windmill Island Gardens! This family-friendly ticketed event features a dazzling “tulip field” of 1,000 LED blossoms set to a synchronized light and music show. The historic windmill, carousel, street organ, and shops will all be aglow, creating a festive atmosphere for all ages. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.

Children will also have the chance to greet Sinterklaas, the Dutch predecessor of Santa Claus, with photo opportunities available during select evenings.

Event Dates & Times
Open during Dutch Winterfest on:

• December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, and 20
  Four time slots are available each evening: 5:00–6:00 PM, 6:00-7:00PM, 7:00-8:00PM or 8:00–9:00 PM

Tickets

• Adults (16+): $13
• Children (ages 3–15): $6
• Children 2 & under: Free

Tickets must be purchased in advance for all members of your party. No tickets will be sold at the door, and no refunds are available.

For groups of 20+ on a coach, contact windmill@cityofholland.com to reserve a spot. 

For the general public, tickets will be available starting in November.

Additional Details

• Sinterklaas will be on site for meet-and-greet and photos from 5:30–8:30 PM each evening.
• Due to safety concerns, no dogs or outside food/beverages are permitted.
• Magic at the Mill is a rain-or-shine event, only cancelled in the case of severe weather (notifications will be sent via email).
